Analyse the specific elements of Target 2 and evaluate gaps and challenges in the implementation of Aichi Biodiversity Targets and the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020. Understand the key components of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and other global initiatives, and how they contribute to achieving Target 2. Evaluate different restoration approaches, understand the conditions that influence their application, and apply this knowledge to real-world ecological scenarios. Understand how to combine ecological, social and institutional factors in restoration projects, ensuring inclusive decision-making and long-term sustainability. Understand FERM’s role and functionalities in monitoring and reporting on Target 2 at the national level, including its registry, geospatial platform, search engine and dashboard. Explore the importance of data sharing, interoperability, and proper data entry within the FERM registry to support Target 2 objectives.
