- Understand the purpose and value of comprehensive, well-structured documentation of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture (PGRFA) in genebanks. Identify the main data types linked to accessions and select appropriate methods to record, store and secure PGRFA data using quality controls. Use documentation standards and metrics (including MCPD, crop descriptors and PDCI) to support data quality and interoperable data sharing. Explain how PGRFA data are shared through global portals and governed by relevant legal, ethical and security frameworks.
