- 1. Conduct safe and systematic sea container inspections in line with phytosanitary and safety procedures. 2. Identify visible signs of pest contamination and distinguish phytosanitary risks from non-biological residues. 3. Inspect external, internal and cargo-related areas of sea containers where accessible and safe to do so. 4. Apply appropriate actions when contamination is detected, including containment, documentation and follow-up. 5. Record and report inspection outcomes to support traceability and risk-based decision-making.
