Recognizing the context of the World Trade Organization (WTO) as well as the structure of the WTO Agreement on Agriculture (AoA) with a focus on the concept of policy space for food security available to developing countries; Defining the main policy areas regulated by the WTO AoA and the rules governing the use of trade policy measures; and identifying the frameworks governing trade, food security and nutrition at the global and regional levels, discussing the changes and opportunities for improving policy coherence.
