This course aims to raise awareness on the responsible use of antibiotics in livestock. It describes the consequences of uninformed and inappropriate use of antibiotics in livestock production, explains what antibiotic resistance is, and how to use antibiotics responsibly.

This course is designed for a range of participants whose work is related to small- and medium-scale livestock farming, including:

  • Livestock farmers
  • Dairy farmers
  • Milk processors
  • Feedlot managers

  • Why we should care about antibiotic resistance.
  • Why we should use antibiotics responsibly in animals.
  • How we should deal with animal diseases.
  • What global initiatives can help to tackle antibiotic resistance.
