This course describes the key aspects relevant for operationalising the forestry modules, including their scope, focus and limitations. It indicates the relevance of enumerator training, quality control, and use of tablet devices. It also briefly describes the field-testing of the forestry modules in three countries.

This is one of four courses in the e-Learning on the ‘National socioeconomic surveys in forestry’. It is primarily intended for people who are involved in data collection, analysis and reporting in organizations such as: National statistical offices, government agencies, donors, non-governmental organizations, forestry departments and research organizations.

The course consists of 2 sections:

  • Section 1 - Aspects of operationalising the forestry modules
  • Section 2 - Main results of field tests

The online version of this course runs on the latest versions of the major browsers, such as Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox.

The downloadable version only runs on Windows PC’s and no additional software is needed.
