Master field data collection with the Open Foris Arena Mobile app. This course walks you through device setup, offline configuration, and survey management, guiding you from first login to accurate data entry — including GPS coordinates, geotagged photos, and real-time validation — and seamless synchronization with Open Foris Arena.
Individuals who would especially benefit from taking this course include:
- Technical staff of national forest authorities or ministries.
- Field teams, enumerators, national inventory staff, and project partners involved in field data collection.
- Students in forestry and environmental sciences.
- Installing, configuring, and connecting the app to the Arena server.
- Managing surveys on your device, including imports, updates, and offline settings.
- Entering and validating data across attribute types, including GPS coordinates and geotagged photos.
- Synchronizing field data with Open Foris Arena.
This course runs on the latest versions of the major browsers, such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.
