This course aims to support parliamentarians in ensuring that adequate financial resources are allocated to achieve food security and gender equality. It is designed to equip parliamentarians with the knowledge and tools to effectively address the gender dimensions in budgeting and drive positive change as parliamentarians.
This course is part of the series “Gender equality in climate change and agrifood systems”. Before starting the course, take a look at the introduction to the series for a brief overview of the topics and concepts covered in the series.
The course is useful to anyone who wishes to learn how to effectively help in designing gender-transformative and gender-responsive policies related to agriculture and climate actions by allocating adequate financial resources for the gender-related work. It provides guidance to parliamentarians, government officials, policymakers and practitioners working in the field of gender equality, food security, nutrition, agriculture development and climate change mitigation.
