Topic outline

This e-learning course introduces circular bioeconomy approaches and examines how livestock systems can support more efficient and sustainable use of biomass and natural resources.

It examines the role of livestock in converting non-edible biomass, agricultural residues and food industry by-products into valuable outputs, while presenting approaches and indicators used to assess the environmental performance of livestock systems within a circular bioeconomy framework.

The course supports evidence-based decision-making in the design and evaluation of circular livestock systems.
