    Intro Course: RuralInvest – An introduction

    This is an introduction to a series of three courses designed to assist field technicians in working with communities, groups or individuals wishing to prepare effective investment proposals. This introductory course provides an overview of the RuralInvest methodology and outlines its application within the RuralInvest e-learning series.

    Course 1: Participatory data collection and investment planning in the field

    This is the first in a series of three e-courses designed to assist field technicians in working with communities, groups or individuals wishing to prepare effective investment proposals. This course explores how to create a business concept, a yearly cost benefit analysis, in the field together with the entrepreneurs. It also provides guidance to field technicians in participatory data collection and investment planning in the field and explores the key concepts of a RuralInvest business concept.

    Course 2: Business concept – Feasibility snapshot

    This is the second in a series of three e-courses designed to assist field technicians in working with communities, groups or individuals wishing to prepare effective investment proposals. This course explores how to generate a business concept by inserting the data collected in the filed into the RuralInvest software.

    Course 3: Business plan – Detailed description

    This is the third in a series of three e-courses designed to assist field technicians in working with communities, groups or individuals wishing to prepare effective investment proposals. This course explores how to convert a business concept into a detailed business plan with the RuralInvest software and interpret the main indicators.

    Courses 1, 2 and 3 conclude with a final certification test. A digital badge certificate is issued upon successful completion of the test.

    Depending on the interest of learners, the self-paced courses in this series can be completed as a whole (which is preferable), or as individual courses (or lessons), taken independently.

    Throughout the course series, references are made to specific courses or lessons where certain subjects are covered more extensively. Each course takes the learner step-by-step through the learning content using interactive screens and is complemented by exercises and links to additional material and websites for further reading.
