Topic outline
This course focuses on some specific modules of the Registrations tools section and on the entire Information sources section of the Pesticide Registration Toolkit. It describes in depth the content of each module and provides useful guidance on how the available information can support registration authorities in performing their work.



This course is primarily intended for pesticide registration authority staff and board members. It can be of interest also for academics committed in research related to pesticide use, efficacy and risks, and to anyone interested in understanding the pesticide authorization process.

- Risk and value assessments of pesticides.
- The possible outcomes of pesticide registration and the conditions that determine them.
- The information provided and the way to navigate Data requirements, Assessment methods and Risk mitigation modules and all the modules of the Information sources section.
The course is composed of three lessons, lasting approximately from 25 to 35 minutes:
- Lesson 1 - The decision-making process in pesticide registration
- Lesson 2 - Using the Registration tools section for the analysis of the pesticide registration dossier
- Lesson 3 - Exploring the Information sources section
