Topic outline
The course provides a comprehensive overview of the FAO Progressive Management Pathway for Antimicrobial Resistance (PMP-AMR). It covers FAO’s support focusing on the National Action Plans on AMR (AMR-NAPs), through the PMP-AMR tool, which provides assistance in incorporating the food and agriculture components of the AMR-NAPs and in ensuring that a One Health approach is applied, to support national efforts to combat AMR. Learners will gain an understanding of the technical topics addressed in the PMP-AMR tool. They will also learn about the practical application of the tool, specifically how to organize and support PMP-AMR national assessment workshops, by identifying all the key stakeholders involved. The course concludes with guidance for planning assessment workshops.
