This course focuses on stakeholder engagement and how to strengthen multistakeholder participation and inclusion in the 2030 Agenda Follow-up and Review processes.

This course is designed for all stakeholders involved in the follow-up and review processes of the 2030 Agenda, including civil society, international organizations, the private sector, national human rights institutions, and all levels and sectors of government, to ensure participatory and inclusive engagement.

  • The participatory process in the Voluntary National Review (VNR) cycle.
  • The drafting of a VNR that considers a wide range of stakeholder interests.
  • The key stakeholders involved in VNR preparations.
  • Areas for inclusive participation at different phases of the VNR preparation process.
  • Diverging stakeholder interests that may arise during the preparation of VNRs.
  • The ways to manage divergent interests while preparing VNRs.

This course consists of 5 lessons:

  • Lesson 1 - Stakeholder engagement in the VNR preparation process
  • Lesson 2 - Main stakeholders and leaving no one behind
  • Lesson 3 - Stakeholder engagement plan
  • Lesson 4 - Building a shared understanding of the process
  • Lesson 5 - Ensuring an effective stakeholder engagement process

Digital certification

This series offers certification.
